Mary Laurie, LEED® AP and a Green Advantage® certified trainer, is the director for Sustainable Initiatives at Nabholz Construction. In that role she is facilitating an organizational transition to benefit clients, the company, and staff members. She has been instrumental in developing and implementing standards, policies, and plans that define the Nabholz commitment to sustainability with a focus on building institutional capacity at all levels. She is chair of the Nabholz Sustainable Practices Roundtable and coordinates activities through the company’s main offices in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri. A graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, she has been a speaker on sustainability for Lorman Education Services and a presenter at the 2009 Association of General Contractors national conference. She is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council Arkansas chapter and is the company representative to the Green Building Initiative and the Green Valley Network.
