MICHAEL A. KAWECKI

With ten years of experience in design and construction, Michael Kawecki has represented various roles through the building industry, including architect, owner, contractor and consultant.  As the Founder of Axiom Sustainable Consulting, LLC, he is a LEED Accredited Professional, Green Advantage Faculty, the 2007 Chair of the North Texas Chapter of the US Green Building Council, and the 2008 Chair of the USGBC South Central Regional Council, which covers Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. This involvement at the national level of the USGBC allows Michael to stay on the cutting edge of sustainable building trends.

Previously as a Project Manager for the City of Dallas, Michael had the opportunity to pursue sustainable building projects on behalf of the City. He wrote the selection requirements for LEED consultants and Design/Builders for the Division and managed the Division’s first LEED major renovation project. This project was the renovation of an 80,000 square foot facility into a vehicular maintenance center, and was the first LEED certified project in the City of Dallas, achieving Gold status. He is the founder of Axiom Sustainable Consulting, a firm focusing on sustainable continuing education and sustainable project consulting.
