SAM LATONA
Sam received his Masters in Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and his Bachelors of Science in Architecture from the University of Detroit. He is a LEED Accredited Professional. Sam has 30 years of construction experience and has been with Turner for over 8 years. Since coming to Turner, he has served as a Project Executive on several high visibility projects such as the Hilton Americas Convention Center Hotel and Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Houston as well as Southside on Lamar Loft Conversions and Genisus Dallas North in Dallas. Since his promotion to Preconstruction Manager, Sam has overseen the preconstruction of 15 LEED certified or sustainable construction projects including the following: SMU’s first LEED certified building, Embrey Engineering Building; Cedar Valley College Science and Vet Technology Building; the SHW Group offices in Plano; Corgan World Headquarters in Dallas; Wal-Mart’s first sustainable construction store, the Wal-Mart Prototype Store in McKinney; the Pat Lobb Toyota Dealership, the first LEED certified car dealership in the U.S., also located in McKinney; the Haworth Dallas Showroom, a LEED certified furniture showroom in downtown Dallas. Other North Texas projects include the Justin Wakeland High School in Frisco and the Southwest Corporate Federal Credit Union in Plano. His previous experience includes numerous hotels and casinos such as the Silver Legacy Hotel and Casino, the Grand Slam Canyon Theme Park, the Flamingo Hotel and Casino and the Nugget Hotel.
