SHEA HAGY
Shea Hagy started his career as an ecological designer, restoring the S. Burlington Living Machine, while attending the University of Vermont where he earned a B.S. in Environmental Science and Ecological Design. After graduating, in 2004, he became an Americorps volunteer and teamed up with Habitat for Humanity in Hartford, CT to help create and get their ‘Green’ Home Building Initiative up and running. After a year of service Shea was hired on at Hartford Habitat as a Construction Supervisor and Green Building Coordinator, playing an integral role in the design and construction of over 20 ‘green’ affordable homes. Currently Shea works as a Project Engineer/Assistant Superintendent for W.S. Cumby, a construction management firm, based outside of Philadelphia, PA. Shea works on project teams and helps manage the construction of LEED certified commercial buildings, he recently became a LEED AP.
